What is Health Science Noncredit?
Health science noncredit are continuing education and high quality training programs that enable individuals to learn new skills or refresh previous learned skills which can be applied immediately on the job or utilized for future professional development. Health sciences at MC offers a variety of classes designed for the general public who want to earn a certificate in one of our many healthcare career fields in just a few weeks. Health Science noncredit are introductory courses allowing you to pursue your aspirations to become a healthcare professional such as a registered nurse or stand alone career as a certified healthcare professional.

Meet the Maryland Board of Nursing faculty requirements for teaching CNA programs.
This course is designed to meet the Maryland Board of Nursing faculty requirements for teaching in CNA programs. This 24-hour program for RNs combines classroom learning, instructional technology, and a learning lab where you will demonstrate competency in applying knowledge of the principles of adult learning and methods of instruction. This class is for students who have at least two years’ experience (one in long-term care) and a desire to instruct in an approved CNA program.

New! GNA Exam/Skills Prep course. This class is designed for the Certified Nursing Assistant or student nurses who want to prepare to pass the Geriatric Nurse Assistant (GNA) skills and written examination.
New! Transition to acute care training for professional healthcare workers Course. This course is designed for RNs, pharmacology techs, surgical techs, and ultrasound techs, just to name a few, to ease into the transition roles of working in sub-acute, long-term care facilities, acute care hospitals, urgent care and surgical centers.

Health Career Training Programs
Students have the opportunity to learn an entry level skill in the field of health sciences such as dialysis, EKG, phlebotomy, or pharmacy technician. The Clinical Medical Assistant Program includes a lab and a clinical externship. Other options include a healthcare access & registration professional program, and physical therapy & occupational therapy aide. Do you need to prepare for the TEAS tests or wellness training? WDCE Nursing Programs
WDCE Nursing programs include Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) classroom and clinical, CPR & first aid training, nursing refresher classroom, lab, and clinical for nurses wishing to reenter the field, NCLEX RN Review, and additional nursing courses.
