Financial Assistance and Payments Information
Emergency Financial Assistance
Montgomery College is providing emergency financial assistance to students both through the federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA), and through funding provided by the MC Foundation.
Students may request assistance both through the federal CRRSAA Act and through the MC Foundation below.
We are distributing federal funds to students to help cover emergency costs related to the coronavirus pandemic. The money can be used for food, housing, health care, child care, tuition, or other school-related fees and expenses.
Previously, through the CARES Act, we distributed more than 7,000 funding packages.
Foundation and College funds dedicated to the COVID-19 pandemic have been exhausted. However, we are taking requests for emergency assistance on a case-by-case basis and will review them as funds are available. If you need emergency assistance due to a hardship, please complete the Student Emergency Funding Request Form.
If you need assistance with tuition and fees, please fill out the Foundation scholarship application.
Payments and Refunds
We are currently unable to accept payments in person at our cashiers' offices. If paying by check, you may mail your payment to the Rockville cashier's office.
We appreciate payments online through MyMC whenever possible, including partial payments of your balance.
To make a partial payment toward your balance, please follow these steps: How to Make a Partial Payment through MyMC (PDF, ) (PDF, ) . We also offer interest-free Tuition Installment Plans to spread out your payments over time.
Find more payment information on Payment Options for Credit Courses.
If you have payment inquiries, please email accounts receivable at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you do not sign up for eRefund your refund will be mailed to you by the postal service and may take two weeks or more to arrive. At this time we encourage all students to sign up for eRefund.
Important note: While eRefunds are the fastest way for you to obtain a refund, they do not go into effect immediately. You must set up your eRefund account a minimum of two weeks prior to an expected refund to allow time for validation. The best approach is to set up your eRefund account now so it will be available when needed.
See Tuition Refunds for complete information on refunds, refund deadlines, involuntary withdrawals, and more.
