MC-MCPS Virtual KC7 Challenge

The Montgomery College–Montgomery County Public Schools (MC-MCPS) Virtual KC7 Challenge is held annually to provide an opportunity for high school students to compete and enhance their cybersecurity, forensics, and incident response analysis skills.

Competition Overview
Students will become part of an elite digital forensics mission using the KC7 platform, an interactive cyber range where you’ll analyze real-world attack scenarios, uncover evidence, and track down malicious hackers.
As you play, you’ll sharpen your skills in cybersecurity investigation, digital forensics, and threat analysis; skills used every day by cybersecurity professionals in the field.
The top overall scorers will have an opportunity to win prizes and be recognized at the 2026 MC-MCPS In Person Cyber Forensics Competition on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 on the Germantown Campus.
