“Portraits of Life: Holocaust Survivors of Montgomery County” - Opening Reception, Nov. 15 at Montgomery College-Rockville

Event to be held at MC-Rockville, Sarah Silberman Art Gallery, Art Building 2nd floor, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Montgomery College invites the community to an opening reception, celebrating a complete exhibition of Portraits of Life: Holocaust Survivors of Montgomery County on November 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sarah Silberman Art Gallery, 2nd Floor, Art Building, Rockville Campus.

Portraits of Life is a powerfully moving art exhibit, consisting of nearly forty large (24 x 36") panels, displaying evocative portraits with narrative, documenting the experiences of Holocaust survivors, who have lived in and around Montgomery County, MD. The photographic panels, with their compelling stories, speak directly to people about loss, survivorship, and the triumph of the human spirit.

Speakers will include Holocaust survivors and collection creators. Dr. Jermaine F. Williams, Montgomery College president, will deliver opening remarks.

Kosher hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served.

This event is hosted by the Paul Peck Humanities Institute. For more information, visit our Portraits of Life website.
