Dr. Jeffrey McGill

Dr. Jeffrey M. McGill is a senior academic leader dedicated to advancing the institution's mission and strategic goals within Academic Affairs. He oversees academic operations across multiple campuses and centers, fostering effective communication and collaboration among faculty, staff, and senior leadership. His responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing student access, completion, and success. In his role, Dr. McGill spearheads special projects, manages cross-functional collaborations, and represents the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs/College Provost in various meetings and events. His leadership is instrumental in driving innovation and ensuring the alignment of academic programs with the institution's broader objectives.

Dr. McGill most recently served as the Dean of Workforce Education at Northwest Florida State College, where he managed a comprehensive portfolio of degrees, certificates, and workforce development initiatives. He successfully oversaw $18 million in grants dedicated to advancing college initiatives that supported critical departmental and student needs. His efforts in curriculum development, technology adoption, and innovative scheduling have expanded access for nontraditional students seeking opportunities to upskill or cross-train and improved completion and certification rates.

Before his career in higher education, Dr. McGill served in the military and later as a law enforcement officer. He also co-founded a national non-profit organization addressing mental health issues among first responders.

Dr. McGill holds a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and is a Certified Public Manager.
