Online Academic Resources for Students
As a student at MC, you can take advantage of online tutoring, on-campus learning centers, library resources, and Blackboard tutorials.
The Learning Centers at Montgomery College are here to ensure your success as you pursue your academic goals. MC offers a variety of services and supports through our discipline-specific Learning Centers to help students meet the rigors of academic coursework.
You will benefit from an array of academic support services provided in comfortable and collaborative centers designed to support your academic development and enhance your achievement. Data shows students who use the Learning Centers early and often are more successful than those who do not.
We're here to help you with tutoring, graphic calculator loan program, study group areas, textbook loans, MC-provided computers and software, and much more.

In addition to course- and discipline-specific support, MC offers online tools to help students strengthen their study habits and build strategies for academic success. StudentLingo new windowprovides a suite of on-demand, interactive workshops available 24/7 on topics like time management, stress management, study skills, and career exploration. Each workshop includes activities, resources, action plans, and certificates of completion.
Some of the things that students can do with Brainfuse:
- Receive Instant Tutoring and interact with a live tutor
- Use the Writing Lab for comprehensive feedback or connect with a live tutor
- Submit a Question anytime and receive a reply from a tutor
- Personalized Skills Building library of lessons and videos
- Each student receives a monthly cap of 16 hours (960 minutes) of free tutoring
How to Access Brainfuse:
- Log in to MyMC
- At the top of the page, click on Blackboard
- Click the “Tools” link on the left-hand menu
- Click on the Brainfuse Live Tutoring link
