Montgomery College designs curriculum and academic pathways around the needs, goals,
and lived realities of our students. Through continuous program review, intentional
program design, and clear academic pathways, we make it easier for students to identify
the right starting point, understand their options, and progress confidently toward
a credential, transfer opportunity, or career goal.
Through an integrated, student-centered advising model, faculty and staff work collaboratively to provide timely guidance on academic planning, career exploration, transfer, and completion. We help students navigate their educational journeys while connecting their aspirations to meaningful educational experiences. Our goal is for every student to feel informed, supported, and connected to a community that believes in their potential.
Whether students plan to transfer to a four-year institution, enter or advance in the workforce, or build new skills, Montgomery College helps create a strong next step. Curriculum, Advising, and Post-Completion provides leadership for:
- Curriculum, advising, transfer, and post-completion success initiatives that support student academic success, credential attainment, transfer outcomes, career readiness, and long-term economic mobility.
- Development, review, and continuous improvement of academic pathways and curricula, ensuring programs are aligned with student needs, institutional priorities, transfer requirements, workforce opportunities, industry advancements, and regulatory standards.
- Student-centered practices and an integrated advising model that strengthen the student experience from entry through completion, transfer, and career pathways, helping students make meaningful progress toward their educational and professional goals.
- Initiatives that connect academic disciplines, enhance student learning, and prepare students for success beyond Montgomery College.
- Strengthened articulation agreements, expanded transfer pathways, enhanced workforce partnerships, and improved career outcomes for graduates.
- Partnerships with faculty, staff, and administrators to support effective academic programs, advising, and student-success strategies.
- Service as the administrative liaison to the General Education Committee, Academic Regulations Committee, CAPDI, Academic Calendar Committee, and Collegewide Curriculum Committee.
- Oversight of the Montgomery College catalog to ensure that program and curriculum information is accurate and current.
- Advancement of the College’s transformational aspirations through curriculum, advising,
transfer, and career-readiness initiatives.
