College Guidance
College Guidance provides formal institutional direction on matters that benefit from a consistent College-wide approach. It may establish expectations, recommended practices, processes, or standards for conducting College activities and may be used for matters requiring greater flexibility or more frequent updates.
College Guidance is distinct from the College’s Policies and Procedures and does not establish Board policy or procedures for implementing Board policy. It is also distinct from departmental standard operating procedures, which govern routine practices and processes within an individual office or unit. College Guidance addresses matters with broader institutional applicability or significance for which consistent direction across the College is appropriate. Guidance is developed by the responsible content area, reviewed by relevant College leadership, and approved by the College President.
