Bestcolleges.com ranked Montgomery College #12 on its Best Online Community Colleges in the Nation list.
Through our distance education programs, you can earn a degree or take courses, either fully online or blended (a combination of online and on-campus). Our robust support system for online learners includes online counseling, online advising, and online tutorials, and our distance education students can come to any of our campuses to use the academic learning centers, libraries, advising services, and more. Tuition for online and blended courses is exactly the same as for regular on-campus courses at MC.
MC offers four fully online degrees in business, computer science and technologies, criminal justice, and general studies. The four online programs follow the same curricula as the traditional degree programs listed below. You will be taught by the College’s expert faculty who have been trained and certified in online quality assurance.

You can also take online credit courses without pursuing a fully-online degree! We offer both fully online courses and blended courses (a combination of online and on-campus).
Through our MC Open initiative, we offer courses and even a degree option for which all textbook materials are available at no cost. These Z-courses and the Z-degree mean you can earn a degree without ever having to pay for a textbook, and our faculty are continually working to redesign more courses and degree pathways under this model. Instead of textbooks, these courses make use of Open Educational Resources—teaching and learning materials freely available online for everyone to use, whether you are an instructor, student, or self-learner.
MC's Workforce Development & Continuing Education division offers a wide variety of noncredit options of affordable online courses.
