Alumni Board Ballot
The Alumni Association’s Nominating Committee has recommended, and the Board of Governors has received for publication, the following slate of nominees for election to seats on the Board of Governors for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2024:
Remy Alvarez ’15
Ms. Alvarez is a recent graduate of Towson University. She has volunteered at the
Dogfish Head Alehouse fundraiser and is chair of the Association’s scholarships committee.
Stephen Campanella ’76
Mr. Campanella retired as a master carpenter in the Theatre Arts program at Rockville.
He has served on the Association’s nominating committee.
Alona Hapey ’18
Ms. Hapey is a strategic marketing professional. She has volunteered on the events
and marketing committees.
Alana McCarthy Light ’25
Ms. McCarthy Light has served as an editor for student publications at Takoma Park/Silver
Spring and Rockville. She has worked as an assistant in the College’s advancement
office.
Genevieve Montgomery ’13
Ms. Montgomery has volunteered in the Alumni Office and has assisted in outreach to
members for project planning. She is a member and past chair of the Association’s
legislative committee.
Patrick Sasu ’23
Mr. Sasu is majoring in communications, with a minor in technology entrepreneurship,
at the University of Maryland. He served as an MC Votes Ambassador and has successfully
advocated for on-campus ballot box sites at the College.
Suzanne Thompson ’82
Ms. Thompson is a retired financial aid administrator for Capitol Technology University.
She has served on several Association committees and projects, including programming,
events, and mentoring.

Balloting will remain available until 5 p.m. EST Friday, May 3, 2024. Please use your alumni identification number, or the MC number appearing on your
membership card, to verify your identity when completing the ballot.
