Peer Navigators support their peers in the battle against food and basic needs insecurities. They aid in the SHaW Center’s Health, Human Services, and Nutrition programming providing support for the Mobile Markets, food pantries, other Fuel for Success Food Campaign Initiatives, educational programs, and other initiatives.

At Montgomery College I was part of the Social Justice Inclusion and Leadership Cohort II, I also plan to join the Human Rights Club at Rockville. Out of Montgomery College, I’m a member of UNA -USA National Capitol Area Chapter and I belong to the Human rights affinity Group.

I love to sing, listen to music, travel, and take part in volunteering and community involvement.
Plans after graduating from MC:
After MC, I plan to transfer to a 4-year college in or out of state to obtain a Bachelor's degree in International Studies with a concentration in Global Politics and Human rights.
What most excites me about being a Peer Mentor:
What excites me most about peer mentoring is the thrill of getting to meet new people and guiding them through their college life. Also, the accomplishment of knowing I made an impact in someone’s life is gratifying.

Hobbies: Spending time in nature with my love (husband) and my three beautiful boys; also, I like to talk with my family back home, especially with my little sister. I also love to educate myself and listen to lectures about health issues/treatments, and self-improvement/empowering. Also, I enjoy doing meditation and listen to music.
