FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Summer I classes begin June 8, Summer II begins July 11

To meet community demand, Montgomery College is adding more classes during the Summer II session and beyond, as needed. All of the classes are offered online. Summer classes can help students improve a grade from a former class, catch up on core requirements, complete major or minor requirements, or explore different subject matter. Students who are currently enrolled at four-year schools, or plan on taking classes at a four-year college or university in the fall, are encouraged to take MC summer courses.

According to Dr. Sanjay Rai, senior vice president for Academic Affairs at Montgomery College, “The College is offering a large number of first and second year, highly-transferable courses to four-year universities in Maryland and across the country.”

The classes include astronomy, arts, accounting, biology, business, computer science, economics, English, engineering, history, mathematics, music, physics, political science, philosophy, and many more. Rai says these additional sections have been added “to meet increasing demand for these highly-transferable courses.”

Summer session I classes begin June 8 and run through July 10. Courses will be offered as distance learning with live sessions. Summer Session II classes begin July 11 and run through August 21. Courses will be offered in either distance learning or structured remote teaching format.
