Montgomery College Celebrates National Distance Learning Week

Montgomery College is celebrating National Distance Learning Week (NDLW) this week, November 3–7, with a series of engaging virtual sessions for faculty, staff, and students. The week’s events highlight the College’s ongoing innovation and excellence in online education.

At Montgomery College, distance learning continues to expand access and opportunity for students balancing work, family, and academic goals. With 39 fully online degrees and certificates (22 degrees and 17 certificates) and over 21,500 online and remote enrollments in fall 2025, MC’s online programs have received numerous national awards. Many MC faculty have also completed the Quality Matters (QM) program, a nationally recognized process that certifies courses meeting rigorous standards for online learning quality.

This week’s events will feature the leaders, faculty, and staff who work collaboratively to provide students with high-quality, flexible learning experiences, as well as students who will share their experience.

As part of NDLW, Montgomery College will host the Fall 2025 Inclusion by Design Summit: “Creating Spaces Where Everyone Thrives.” This gathering of educators, industry professionals, and advocates is dedicated to advancing universal design, equity, and accessibility. The summit will showcase emerging research, best practices, and innovative strategies for fostering inclusion across education, workplaces, and digital environments. Attendees will gain actionable insights through hands-on workshops, thought-provoking discussions, and dynamic presentations, all centered on creating spaces where everyone can thrive.
