ITI 399 - Data Analytics Boot Camp - Advanced

Registration Option: Open Enrollment

Total Course Hours: 90

If you do not see a class listed in our catalog, it is not available for registration at this time.

Description

You have learned how to clean data, analyze it and visualize what you have found. What is your next step? Another class of course!

The Advanced Data Analysis Bootcamp picks up where the Introductory Data Analysis Bootcamp leaves off. Students that are already familiar with Python and/or R and the basics of the data science pipeline are now introduced to more advanced skills: web scraping, consuming Web APIs, SQL, advanced clustering and classification algorithms, model optimization and applying solid design principles to dashboard creation. This is a hybrid class consisting of 60 hours of in-class instruction and 30 hours of online instruction utilizing videos, individual and group projects.

Prerequisites

Completion of the introductory Data Analysis Bootcamp, or a basic understanding of Python, data analysis algorithms and data visualization

Objectives

At the end of this course students will know how to:

- Acquire data through web scraping, consuming Web APIs, and Structured Query Language (SQL).

- Use classification algorithms in Python like naive Bayes, Random Forest, logistic regression, and K-nearest neighbors.

- Use the K-Means clustering algorithm in Python

- Create dashboards in both Tableau and Pythons

- Creating a cloud-based data science pipeline on AWS
