Biography
The natural world has always fascinated me, and I have spent most of my life exploring and studying it. Most of my previous research focused on herpetofaunal conservation and disease ecology. This included projects with rare frogs in the Andes and Sierra Nevada Mountains and endangered desert tortoises in the Mojave Desert. These experiences provided me with valuable skills both in the field and in the laboratory. My career has always including some aspect of education, and I am happy to now share my passion for the natural sciences with the students at Montgomery College! In my free time I also enjoy hiking, taking photographs, and playing music.
