Learn the basics, taught by professionals certified by the American Society for Quality. Understand simple approaches to quality concepts, including

This four-day advanced workshop goes beyond the basics.  Learn systematic approaches to quality systems management from certified professionals of the American Society for Quality. Topics include:

  • Process approaches
  • Systems design and analysis
  • Continuous improvement programs
  •  Auditing from both perspectives

Understand the role of regulatory agencies in the  developmental process. Learn how products and services are developed within the guidelines of government agencies. Find out how a federal regulation influences the development, manufacturing, marketing and distribution or regulated products in the life science and health care industry.

This course is designed for people with undergraduate or graduate level education and provides instruction on the overall process of drug development and clinical trials. Topics include: drug discovery, the clinical trials process for different products, clinical trials design, trials monitoring, as well as global and ethical questions in clinical trials.

Biopharma- Navigating a Successful Career This workshop is designed for incumbent workers interested in advancement in the biopharmaceutical industry. Topics include: How markets drive the structure and function of biopharmaceutical companies; How regulatory agencies and the patent office shape companies; How to plan and navigate your career in a fast-paced, ever changing environment. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe the relationship between need and opportunity in biopharma
  • Name three reasons why you want to work in the biopharma industry
  • Identify the employee traits that companies reward the most
  • Understand how you will be successful and how you may impact your employer’s success.

This course is designed for people with undergraduate or graduate level education and provides instruction on the overall process of drug development and clinical trials. Topics include: drug discovery, the clinical trials process for different products, clinical trials design, trials monitoring, as well as global and ethical questions in clinical trials.

Understand the basics of downstream protein purification. This workshop will focus on the method of protein purification on Bio-Rad NGC instruments. Some knowledge of protein structure and function and purification methods is required.
Learn to be an effective communicator in a business environment. Communication is the number one challenge in almost every industry. This course will address communication from an organizational and an individual perspective. Communications in business will be analyzed and methods of addressing communications challenges will be discussed.
