Description

Get hands on experience hosting static and full-stack web sites on Amazon Web Services. Learn how to upload your site to S3, configure your database with RDS, register your domain name in Route 53, purchase an SSL certificate and configure a load balancer in CloudFront. This course is for web developers, programmers and system administrators. All students are expected to have or acquire an AWS account, please visit: aws.amazon.com to create your account.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of web development. All students are expected to have or acquire an AWS account.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course students should be able to:

  • Host a static HTML site or web frontend with Amazon s3
  • Configure a custom domain for your application with Route 53
  • Configure an SSL certificate for your site
  • Install a backend RESTful web services on Elastic Beanstalk
