AANAPISI Program
We are establishing the Asian American, Native American, and Pacific Islander (AANAPI)
Task Force at Montgomery College to address gaps in access, completion, and success
for our AANAPI students and community members. We seek dedicated students, faculty,
and staff to join this effort, collaborate with leaders, and help provide actionable
recommendations that enhance our College's support for the AANAPI community. Your
participation will be vital in promoting inclusive excellence and driving positive
change.

Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANAPI) Task Force Charge
1. Identify, analyze, and discuss gaps and opportunities for improvement in access, completion, and post-completion success for AANAPI students and community members.
2. Meet with senior leaders and community groups to learn how the College can more deeply partner with the community to address gaps and opportunities.
3. Collaborate with the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs and other key individuals to identify and apply for AANAPISI grant opportunities to strengthen MC’s support of AANAPI students.
4. Provide recommendations to senior leaders focused on eliminating gaps while increasing student success at the College through a lens of inclusive excellence.
Composition of the Task Force
Leadership: The task force shall have two co-chairs. The Interim Chief Equity and Inclusion officer shall be responsible for convening and proposing members of the task force leadership to the president and ensuring the task force has the necessary resources to accomplish its charge.
Composition: The AANAPI Taskforce will consist of a cross-section of students, faculty, and staff who will join the group and complete the charge.
Duration: The AANAPI Taskforce will begin efforts in September 2024 and furnish a report to the senior leadership no later than June 30, 2025.
