2023 Fall Equity Dialogue: Cultivating a Sense of Belonging for All at MC

This dialogue included two discussion panels, one on October 26 and the other on October 27, that focused on identifying what true belonging is, ways to foster and cultivate a climate and culture of belonging,

and ways that each of us can contribute to making MC a place where all people feel welcomed, that they matter, and that they are supported in unlocking their full potential to thrive and fulfill their passions. This recording is from the October 27 event in which we were honored to host our special keynote speaker, Dr. Rachel-Yvonne Talton, an expert in the field of DEI, Belonging, and Global Trust and the founder and CEO of Synergy.

2022 Spring Equity Dialogue:  Critical Race Theory

Reframing the Criminal Justice System From a CRT Perspective

Our Spring Dialogue was held virtually on Thursday, February 24, 2022. Students, employees, and the community had an opportunity to get an understanding of CRT, away from the dramatized representations in the media. A specific focus was a discussion of criminal justice and the legal system. Almost 70 participants were able to learn how decisions are made and how the public can influence those decisions through a racial equity lens and what practices government agencies, schools, and the community can implement.
