- Fully equipped Macintosh computer labs with industry standard 2D and 3D animation and digital art software. Drawing tablets accompany each computer for more intuitive and customizable input.
- Real-time active motion capture studio utilizing Vicon’s industry leading motion capture hardware and software.
- Gallery space for students and professional exhibitions.
- An illustration and graphic studio with controlled lighting, storage, and workspace with drafting table and Macintosh computers.

The Animation A.F.A. is a hands-on program that builds strong foundations in 2D and 3D animation while preparing students to transfer smoothly into four-year B.A. or B.F.A. programs. Montgomery College is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NSAD), ensuring high-quality instruction.
The Animation Certificate prepares students for entry-level roles in the animation industry. Through hands-on training, students learn core animation principles and gain experience with industry-standard software, tools, and motion capture. This combination of creative and technical skills equips graduates to work confidently in professional production environments.
