Ms. Alice C. Boatman

Alice Santoro has 24 years of experience in higher education. She has a diverse professional background, including public safety leadership, emergency preparedness, academic advising, counseling and teaching. Ms. Santoro currently serves as the associate dean of student affairs on the Takoma Park/Silver Spring (TPSS) Campus. In this role, she assists with managing the student code of conduct area, serves as chair of the TPSS Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) and supports the collegewide dean of student engagement and Takoma Park/Silver Spring student affairs as needed.

Ms. Santoro is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). Outside of Montgomery College, she works part-time as a mobile crisis clinician supporting community members with mental health and addiction intervention. She has also assisted community members as a psychiatric rehabilitation aide in Baltimore City and Anne Arundel County.

Ms. Santoro earned an associate’s degree in emergency preparedness from Montgomery College, a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Trinity University in Washington, D.C., and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Bowie State University. She is pursuing her doctorate in educational leadership and management at Drexel University with a concentration in higher education. She plans to focus her studies on mental health awareness and support in higher education.
