Students in a classroom
Requirements for Adult ESOL Students:
  • All students must apply in person at the time and location where they want to take classes.
  • You must take an in-person CASAS test to be placed in a class. Taking the test is not a guarantee you will be placed in class. You may not get a class if too many people apply.
  • You must live in Maryland to take these classes.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to take these classes.
  • All classes are free except for the Advanced ESOL class. If you are placed in the Advanced class, you will be required to pay $100 for tuition.
  • Students with F1 or J1 visa cannot take classes in this program. Contact ESL-Rockville@montgomerycollege.edu, if you have a F1 or J1 visa and want to take ESOL classes.
