GED Test Prep Information Sessions and Class Schedules

- 18 years of age or older at the time of registration. If you are age 16 -17, please contact us.
- Students 18 years of age, must provide official documentation of school withdrawal.
- Officially withdrawn from all public or private high school programs.
- The Adult ESOL & Literacy Grant Program (AELG) is unable to provide services to F-1 (international students) and J-1 Visa (Exchange visitor) holders. Please visit GED FAQs for more details.
- Photo ID is needed to participate in activities on both testing and assignment days.
- Students should attend a Community Information Session to learn how to get started in the program, about assessment testing, classes, tuition information, and learn about the GED test.
These are Instructor-Led, Face to Face classes. These are held during the day or in the evenings. During COVID they are ALL online, and may change to in-person at a later date.
Special Instructions During COVID19
To be placed in a teacher supported ONLINE GED Preparation Class at Montgomery College, you will need to attend an Orientation and Testing Zoom meeting. At Orientation and
Testing, you will receive an overview of GED Prep Class and take a Reading and Math
Assessment Test. It will take about 2 hours. You can join using a laptop, desktop,
iPad, tablet, or smartphone.

Summer 1 Registration Now Open
Starting Spring 2021: All classes are free except for the GED level class. If you are placed in that class, you will be required to pay tuition.

GED Registration and Class Schedules
To register for classes, you must register in person at one of the centers below. You will be given Math and English placement tests to determine your class level. There are three class levels - Adult Basic Education, Pre GED Test Preparation, and GED Test Preparation.
GED Day and Evening classes are Instructor led, and provide face-to-face classroom settings.
