Description

This course is for anyone who wants to learn how to program with Java. Topics include Java language essentials, Java Software Development Kit (J2SDK), and development of simple web applications and stand-alone applications in Java. This course includes an overview of object-oriented programming.

Prerequisites

Programming Fundamentals or equivalent experience, plus knowledge of the Web and HTML.

Objectives

Apply object-oriented programming concepts to Java programming.
Apply skills in Java Software Development Kit (J2SDK) to writing Java programs.
Create simple Web applications and stand-alone applications in Java.
