Join MC Alumni on October 15 for a Fall Alumni Social
Additional text: Join MC alumni at Fallen Oak Distilling on Wednesday, October 15 from 4-9 p.m. for an evening filled with food, drinks, and fun activities planned for alumni of all age groups! Enjoy the opportunity to play games, win prizes, connect with former classmates, purchase alumni swag, and support the MC Alumni Association.
Fallen Oak Distillingnew window, owned by Lone Oak Farm Brewing Company, has multiple MC alumni who work at their business: Deneb Lopez ‘15, assistant general manager, and Irvin Palacios ‘23, kitchen manager. We’re proud to partner with them to support MC students and build connections across the MC alumni community.

Volunteer Committees
The Alumni Association has numerous volunteer committees that meet and organize activities throughout the year. Learn more about each opportunity to get involved.

Mentoring
The mentoring committee provides guidance and support to our students in achieving
their academic and professional aspirations. Mentoring is conducted in individual
and group settings to foster personal and professional development through structured
mentorship relationships.

Events
The events committee consists of several subcommittees that plan the major events
that are hosted by the Alumni Association. These include alumni awards, community
and chapter events/meetings, the annual Dogfishing for MC scholarships fundraiser,
and Commencement activities.

Scholarships
The scholarships committee is responsible for identifying students to receive Association-managed
scholarships. Once applications are received, the committee reviews them to make recommendations
to the Board for approval.

Alumni Engagement
The alumni engagement committee attends community events and encourages more people to get involved with the Alumni Association. Committee members connect with alumni and learn more about their background and interests before identifying them for meaningful volunteer opportunities.
Marketing
The marketing committee coordinates the Association’s public awareness campaign. These efforts include communications, membership benefits, outreach to recent alumni and current students as well as social media.
Legislative
The legislative committee coordinates alumni advocacy efforts on behalf of the Alumni Association. Committee members frequently interact with elected officials to help promote the importance of Montgomery College to the community.
Alumni Association Chapters
Alumni may seek to form chapters based on academic discipline, student activity, location of residence, profession, or other affinity so long as they enable alumni to strengthen their ties to one another and to the Alumni Association. Construction Management
The Construction Management Alumni Group was formed to help maintain connections between program alumni and MC’s Construction Management Program, including updates on the construction management program and opportunities for networking between alumni and networking with current construction management students. Macklin Business Institute
MBI alumni seek to establish a strong network of current and past program participants. Former MBI program participants can update their information through the MBI Alumni application. In addition to mentoring current students, alumni offer informational interviews and access to internships in their field. Join the MBI LinkedIn Groupnew window.
MC Club
The MC Club represents outstanding athletes from current sports – baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball and track and field – as well as athletes from retired sports such as cross country, football, field hockey, golf, tennis and wrestling. They frequently host athletic reunions and events that bring former student athletes back to campus. Read more about the athletics program history.

Past Montgomery Scholars hold reunions and stay updated via the Montgomery Scholars
award-winning newsletter, Scholarly Pursuits, that highlights compelling alumni success

Nursing
The MC Nursing Alumni Chapter supports current students and the nursing club by offering support for club events, mentoring, informational interviews and networking opportunities.
