Biography
Jennifer is the creative project manager for the Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Montgomery College and has over 30 years of experience in the creative industry. Throughout her career she has held the titles of senior graphic designer, art director, creative director, creative services director, and creative project manager. She has worked in web exclusively, as well as in print, radio, and television. She believes that sharing is an art form and that digital stories have profound impact for a just future. Biography
Erika was born and raised in Seattle, Washington and completed her B.A. in Humanities at Western Washington University. She minored in Latin, Greek, and Classical Studies and spent her summers working at Starbucks in downtown Seattle. Erika then moved to Kentucky to pursue a Masters in Classical Studies at the University of Kentucky and achieve additional certification from the Institute of Latin Studies. She has since lived in Virginia and Japan before moving into the area. Here at Montgomery College, Erika teaches English 101 & 102, Latin 101 & 102, moonlights as an ATPA embedded coach, and serves as Part-Time Faculty Associate and in this capacity looks forward to assisting part-time faculty, departments in her area, and the Part-Time Faculty Institute.

Bio
Megan Calvert has over 20 years of experience in education focusing on instruction,
curriculum design, and teacher professional development. She has worked in at the
college since 2009 as an Adult ESOL Instructor and Educational Specialist in Workforce
Development and Continuing Education. Currently, she focuses on supporting instructors
through the Fundamentals of Teaching Initiative and supporting staff and faculty in
learning Microsoft Office.
Previously, Megan served as a Fulbright-sponsored teaching assistant in France, an
AmeriCorps volunteer at the International Rescue Committee, a Peace Corps volunteer
in Kyrgyzstan, and a US State Department-sponsored English Language Fellow in Turkey.
She earned a BA in French and Spanish from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County
and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from American University
in Washington, DC.

Biography
Dianne L. Cherry is a seasoned messaging professional with extensive experience in public affairs and higher education.
Upon completing her Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Journalism and Radio, Television and Motion Pictures at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1976, she earned the Master’s degree at The Ohio State University in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations. Cherry became Coordinator of Public Information at the NC Division of Environmental Management in 1980.
After earning the doctorate in Mass Communication Research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Cherry joined the Communication faculty at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. While there, she earned a fellowship to examine the uses of images and icons in the Inuit First Nations, and developed and taught the seminar, “Peoples of Color and Mass Media.”
As chair of the Department of Journalism at Norfolk State University, she served as program convention chair and chair of both the minority divisions of the Eastern Communication Association, and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Relocating to the DMV, Cherry became a writer for the Special English Section at the US State Department’s Voice of America, as well as public affairs specialist for the DC Department of Human Services.
At Montgomery College’s Department of ELAP, Linguistics and Communication, she has taught “Foundations of Human Communication,” and was selected as a member of the 2022 cohorts of the MC – Smithsonian Faculty Fellows, and the Quantitative Research in the Disciplines. She consistently has worked with colleagues on campus committees to promote our students’ success, including the College’s General Education Oral and Written Communication Rubric Revision committee, and the Department’s assignment evaluation rubrics.
Cherry’s community activities include a Takoma Park City Council appointment to the Emergency Preparedness Committee, and active memberships on the Information and Communications Committee [I & C] and award – winning Emergency Response Team [ERT] of Montgomery County Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a public service organization. She has served as a Chief Judge for the Montgomery County Board of Elections since 2007.

Bio
Christine Crefton began her journey at Montgomery College in January 2009, serving
as the Faculty Outreach Librarian before becoming the Campus Library Manager at the
Rockville campus library until 2019. Currently, Christine brings her passion for transformational
leadership, courageous visioning, and identifying the strengths and motivations of
individuals to maximize employee engagement and help lead teams through change to
her position in the Office of E-learning, Innovation, and Teaching Excellence.
Christine is a Doctor of Education, earning a degree from Drexel University’s Educational
Leadership and Management program with a concentration in Organization Development
and Adult Learning. She has a Masters degree in Library Science and Information Systems
from Drexel and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Villanova University in Philadelphia,
PA, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Communications.

Biography
Ramon starred in three productions of the MC Theatre department (Eliot: A soldier's fugue, BIG Love and The Last days of Judas Iscariot). Still learning, Ramon was hired as the HR Associate for HRSTM supporting the Director of C.P.O.D. (now E-LITE) and their training team. After excelling at C.P.O.D. (Center for Professional and Organizational Development), Ramon was moved to the AFS/SVP office under Dr. Janet Wormack to support the transition team planning the relocation of most non-academic employees on campus to the Central Services Building (CT). Once the transition plan was complete, Ramon was moved to CT as the CT Building Coordinator where he has supported MC as resource of knowledge and inspiration.
Still learning by serving as chair for Staff Council in MC Governance (2021-2022), advising students as part of the Outdoor Adventures club, mentoring music students in the World Ensemble and motivating rising entrepreneurs to follow their dreams to succeed. Still learning, now as CEO of www.3DLCE.com, Ramon took this pandemic blessing of time to finish projects. Authoring and publishing his first book "Time Is Greater Than Money Volume 1" which was written to inspire us to reflect on ourselves and reframe how we view and value our time. Then, Ramon finished his debut music release in May 2022 titled "LOVE the album" writing, producing and performing the 9 new singles inspired by pandemic reflection, self-love and an artful dreaming. Ramon is currently promoting these projects, while working on the follow up Volume 2, as well as 2 music videos and 2 film pilots. Ramon enjoys spending time with his children and family in nature, meditation, gardening, reading, making music, writing, hiking and re-gifting the blessings he's been given.
Mr. De La Cruz wants you to know that you can follow your dreams AND make money. You can achieve anything you wish to, with some focus and follow through. Ramon Luis De La Cruz can be found on YouTube at Very Dad Things, a personal V-log where he shares dad-isms in nature. Ramon is a member of the Spectrum Band, represented by Washington Talent Agency.

Biography
I started working at Montgomery College in 2008 for the Office of E-Learning, Innovation, and Teaching Excellence (ELITE). I am the Web and Multimedia Specialist for ELITE. I work with videos, video captions, and other media. Biography
Her post-secondary studies began at Montgomery College, and as an alum knows how MC offers endless possibilities to our diverse community members. Patricia's career has focused on guiding and counseling at-risk youth, engaging our under-represented and under-served communities, and helping build bridges for community members interested in completing higher educational goals.
Currently, Patricia is an ACES Academic Coach at Rockville High School. She guides underrepresented and first-generation college students with the college admission process, ensuring students and families have access to the post-secondary educational opportunities. Also, through Montgomery Colleges partnership with Montgomery County's Correction and Rehabilitation, she teaches GED classes at the Pre-Release and Reentry Services (PRRS) currently offers for program participants. Patricia believes everyone deserves an equitable opportunity to a quality education.

Biography
I work as an Instructional Assistant for the Assessment & Testing Centers, providing test administration assistance to students, faculty, and staff. Before this position, I worked for our Workforce Development & Continuing Education Department as a Customer Service Representative, where I provided registration and operational support at our WDCE Westfield South Center. I look forward to reconnecting with former colleagues and meeting new ones through MCRPA.
