Cosmetology Continuing Education

The Maryland Board of Cosmetologists now requires Cosmetology licensees to complete approved continuing education. Effective January 1, 2026, The State Legislature- HB 1600, requires Licensees to complete six hours of approved continuing education as a condition of license renewal. The Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR), now states the requirements for licensees.

Required Topics: 2 Hours
- Health – 1 to 2 Hours or
- Safety – 1 to 2 Hours or
- Welfare – 1 to 2 Hours or
- Board Laws and Regulations – 1 to 2 Hours
Required Elective Topics: 4 Hours
Total - 6 Hours

Due to the interest in Cosmetology Continuing Education, there may be limited space remaining for some of our scheduled courses. Additional fall semester dates for each course have been added and can now be seen below.
Please note: Space in these courses are available on a first-come, first-serve basis with payment due at the time of registration in order to remain enrolled. There is no waitlist held for these courses once they reach the maximum number of students.
Our courses will also be available during the spring 2026 semester with scheduled dates being posted late-November 2025.
