Degree Completion Support

The ACES Program increases access to higher education for students who have both the desire and the capacity to achieve a baccalaureate degree, and whose likelihood of academic excellence and success would be significantly enhanced by receiving the targeted support and guidance provided by the ACES program.

The mission of the Achieving the Promise Academy (ATPA) is to prepare underrepresented and underserved students for academic success in college and beyond. Any student enrolled at MC, in need of academic support, and committed to completing their academic program, is eligible to apply for admission to the Academy. Students benefit from a highly structured academic program that provides personalized academic support. Students are paired with an ATPA Academic Success Coach at program entry and will remain with their same coach until graduation and/or transfer. Through weekly academic coaching, targeted academic support, and engagement in Learning Success Cohort Communities (LSCC,) students master the necessary academic skills to excel in the classroom and stay on track to graduate and/or transfer in a timely manner.
