Laptop Lending Program
The General Studies Program is continuing the laptop lending program for the Fall 2023 semester with a limited number of laptops available to any Montgomery College student registered in credit-bearing courses. There is no cost to students to participate in this program.
Please consider your need as we have a limited number of laptops available for this program. We trust you to determine the significance of your need. Please review the following information before you submit an application through the link at the bottom of this page:
- Laptops are loaned on a first-come first-served basis for the entire semester.
- You are eligible if registered in at least one credit-bearing course applicable towards completion of a Montgomery College associate’s degree. *
- A waitlist will be kept during the distribution period.
- If you borrow a laptop, you will need to sign a borrower contract. You will be responsible for the care and return of the laptop on the date(s) specified. You will be liable for lost, damaged, or unreturned laptops.
- Upon verification of course enrollment, selected students will be contacted at their MC email during the first weeks of the semester.
- Laptops will be available for pick up by selected students from the Macklin Tower (MT) building on Montgomery College’s Rockville campus.
- At pick up, students will need to bring a photo ID and their M# to confirm registration in credit-bearing courses during the respective semester.
- If you do not check out your laptop or communicate a reason for delay during the specified timeframe for pick up, the laptop will be reassigned to a student on the waitlist.
- If the application form is closed, there are no more laptops available for lending that semester.
- All students who borrow a laptop will receive an email notification to their MC email two weeks prior to finals week with instructions for returning the laptop and power cord.
