Our Donors

The 1946 Society of Montgomery College

Members of the 1946 Society have generously donated $100,000 to the Montgomery College Foundation over their lifetimes. We are in the process of inaugurating our next group of philanthropic leaders.

Founded at the end of the Second World War to meet the educational needs of our country’s returning soldiers, Montgomery College has always been in the business of empowering students to change their lives. Just as the founders of Montgomery College understood the need to provide an unprecedented educational opportunity to the men and women of America’s greatest generation, the members of The 1946 Society, through their exceptional vision, dedication, and unparalleled generosity, have demonstrated their abiding commitment to both our mission and the importance of guaranteeing that these opportunities prevail for the many great generations to come.

Legacy Society

Legacy Society members are special friends who have:

  • remembered the Montgomery College Foundation in their estate plans (such as a will);
  • made the Foundation the beneficiary of a retirement plan, insurance plan, or bank account;
  • established a charitable gift annuity with the Foundation.

Legacy Society members receive a certificate and commemorative pin, as well as tickets to attend a matinee performance of a Montgomery College Summer Dinner Theatre show annually. If you have made an estate or other planned gift to benefit Montgomery College students via the Montgomery College Foundation and have not yet informed us, please consider contacting Francene Walker, major gifts and planned giving director at 240-567-7491 or contact francene.walker@montgomerycollege.edu so that you may become a Legacy Society member.
