The Transfer Student Alliance is a transfer engagement program that offers eligible MC students a series of benefits prior to and after transfer including application fee waivers, guaranteed admission, and a $1500 scholarship for each of two years of full-time study at UMBC. R2R is a transfer access program that streamlines the transfer process between MC and UMBC at USG. The program offers students a structured pathway for attaining an associate degree and a baccalaureate degree. Learn more at UMBC at Shady Grovenew window.

UMBC Description

Life and learning come together at UMBC. Faculty and students strive for the highest levels of accomplishment. In fields from classics and history to molecular biology and computer engineering, students are closely mentored by professors who are recognized leaders in their fields. UMBC also offers countless activities and resources, from state-of-the-art athletic facilities to dance, music and theatre performances. With Baltimore and Washington, D.C. nearby, there is never a shortage of things to do.

Minimum Cumulative GPA Required: 2.0 for these agreements, unless otherwise noted.

Associate's Degree Required: Strongly encouraged, but not required. Students may consider applying for transfer after having successfully earned 45-50 credits.

Learning Format: In-Person

Scholarships: Phi Theta Kappa scholarships may be awarded to MC transfer students of the basis of academic accomplishment. Awards range from $2,000 to $2,500 per year for each of two academic years of study. May be used for full- or part-time study. Students must apply by the priority deadline and must provide proof of PTK membership to be considered.
