Students from the MC Honors Programs are guaranteed admission into the Honors College at UMBC if they meet the criteria. For more information, click here.

The Transfer Student Alliance offers MC students a guaranteed scholarship of $1,500 for each of two years of full-time study (3.2 GPA and less than 30 credits completed required to apply to TSA)
R2R is a transfer access program that streamlines the transfer process between MC and UMBC at USG. The program offers students a structured pathway for attaining an associate degree and a baccalaureate degree. Learn more at www.umbc.edu/shadygrove/r2r.php.

UMBC Description

Life and learning come together at UMBC. Faculty and students strive for the highest levels of accomplishment. In fields from classics and history to molecular biology and computer engineering, students are closely mentored by professors who are recognized leaders in their fields. UMBC also offers countless activities and resources, from state-of-the-art athletic facilities to dance, music and theatre performances. With Baltimore and Washington, D.C. nearby, there is never a shortage of things to do.

Minimum Cumulative GPA Required: 2.0 for these agreements, unless otherwise noted.

Associate's Degree Required: Strongly encouraged, but not required. Students may consider applying for transfer after having successfully earned 45-50 credits.

Learning Format: In-Person

Scholarships: Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships are awarded to MC transfer students of the basis of academic accomplishment. Awards range from $2,000 to $2,500 per year for each of two academic years of study. May be used for full- or part-time study.
