The East County Education Center (ECEC) will bring the College’s unique services and academic programs to the residents of the East County to expand access in this region and to serve as an anchor institution in the community.

Summer 2024
MC will offer credit and noncredit classes at the East County Education Center during the summer session.

- April 1: Registration is open
- May 28: Noncredit classes begin
- June 17: Credit classes begin (search for Summer II session)
Fall 2024
MC will offer a robust schedule of credit and noncredit classes in the fall 2024 semester at the East County Education Center.

Events
Montgomery College Family Festival
Saturday, August 17, 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
There will be information tables on our numerous programs, workshops (for example: short-term training programs, how to pay for college, etc.), and activities for children.

The East County Education Center is a 55,000 square foot, single-story building that consists of:
- 11 classrooms for numerous programs
- 10 labs (6 allied health labs, 3 computer labs, and 1 career training education lab)

The ECEC is located at 2221 Broadbirch Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20904. (mapnew window)
The center is easily accessible by driving or taking public transportation.
By Car
The building is located south of MD-29 and east of Tech Road.
- Directions from the north – from US-29 south bound turn left onto Tech Road, then turn left on Broadbirch Drive.
- Directions from the south – from US-29 north bound turn right onto Tech Road, then turn left on Broadbirch Drive.
The center offers convenient onsite parking. A valid Montgomery College parking permit is required. Visitor permits can be obtained from Raptor Central or from the Office of Safety and Security.
By Bus
- The Ride On bus (Route 27new window) stops directly in front of the building.
- The Metro Bus (Route Z6new window) stops directly in front of the building.
- The Ride On bus (Route 10new window) stops 0.2 miles west of the building.
- The Flash bus (Orange or Blue linenew window) stops 0.4 miles from the building at Tech Road and MD-29.
As a Montgomery College student, you can take Ride On and Flash buses free of charge seven days a week by showing your Montgomery College ID with the current semester sticker.
By Metro
The Glenmont and Silver Spring Metro Stations are closest to the center. Transfer to a bus after you arrive at the station.
