Request an MC Transcript

MC staff are working remotely in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and are not on campus to receive transcript requests that are mailed, and cannot send out transcripts via the US Postal Service. For all outgoing transcripts, please log in to MyMC and request your transcript online through Parchment.

An official transcript is the College’s certified statement of your academic record. The official paper transcript is printed on security sensitive paper and contains the College seal and signature of the College Registrar. The official electronic transcript is a PDF secured by a digital certificate that is displayed at the top of the transcript along with a blue ribbon. For your protection, we will not release an official transcript without your signature. 

  • Montgomery College sends transcripts to schools or designated email electronically and by mail.
  • Your transcript reflects all of your credit coursework and is not campus/location specific. 
  • If you need to send your final transcript showing your final grades and/or degree conferred, please request a transcript after your final grades have been posted and/or your degree conferred. This is especially important for students transferring to another college or university.
  • Transcripts will not be processed for those with holds placed on their account for financial or other obligations to the College.  For this reason, we recommend resolving holds first before making a transcript request in order to prevent processing delays.
  • If you have questions regarding outgoing transcripts, please send your inquiry to outgoingtranscripts@montgomerycollege.edu. Please be sure to include your first and last name, M number, date of birth, and order number with your request.

Request an Official Electronic Transcript through Parchment

Electronic transcripts through Parchment are $10 and are sent the same day as requested. This is the fastest way to request an official transcript. 

Recent and Current Students: Follow the steps below. 

  1. Log in to MyMC
  2. Click the "Request Transcript" icon under Student Tools on your MyMC homepage. 
  3. Click "Electronic Transcript."
  4. Click the "Access the Transcript Ordering Site" link to go to parchment.com. NOTE: If you do not see the "Access the Transcript Ordering Site" link, there may be a problem with your account. Contact us at 240-567-5000 for assistance. 
  5. Follow the instructions on the Parchment site to complete your transcript request. 

Former Students/Alumni: If you have not taken a class at MC in the last four years, your MyMC account will be inactive. You may request your transcript without logging in to MyMC by going directly to the Parchment sitenew window

Request an Unofficial Transcript

Unofficial transcripts are free. 

  1. Log in to MyMC
  2. Click the "Request Transcript" icon under Student Tools on your MyMC homepage.
  3. Click "Request Free Unofficial Transcript." 
  4. Choose your Transcript Level and Transcript Type and click Submit. 

Former Students/Alumni: If you have not taken a class at MC in the last four years, your MyMC account will be inactive. You will need to reactivate your account in order to access MyMC and your unofficial transcript. 

Check the Status of Your MC Transcript Order

  1. Log in to MyMC.
  2. Click the "Request Transcript" icon under Student Tools on your MyMC homepage.
  3. Click "View Status of Mailed MC Transcript Requests."
